The N4C is a community environmental group that is involved and active throughout the Norman Creek Catchment.

N4C was established by the people of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to look after the catchment area around Norman Creek. We regularly work with other environmental groups and the Brisbane City Council to keep our waterways clean and healthy.

Naturally, an important part of keeping the waterways clean is to educate the people of the community on how to best look after our waterways. N4C regularly goes to schools and has information displays at community events such as tree plantings and weed removal days.

Anybody can get involved in N4C - that is if you have a keen interest in helping to keep the environment healthy. We meet on the first Monday of every month. We also have a treeplanting at Moorhen Flats on the first Saturday of every month. So far we have planted 14,000 trees on a once bare industrial landscape. We also work with other community based organisations. Greening Australia regularly works with N4C to organise events and help plant trees. Please feel free to come down and help out. You can contact us for more details.

Our Aims

The N4C endeavours to facilitate the following:

  • To foster dialogue between and among governing bodies ...
  • To involve, educate and empower the local community ...
  • To protect and enhance the ecological health of our catchment ...
